Inside Porcelain: An Album of Sex Work Stories from the Life

Porcelain: Sex Work Stories Told in Music

Some albums are entertainment. Porcelain is testimony.

Porcelain is a 21‑track digital album built around the lives of sex workers and the people who move through that world. Every song is rooted in reality and told from the perspective of people who have lived the life, not from the outside looking in. It’s blunt, uncomfortable at times, and still deliberately beautiful.

Why we made Porcelain

The world loves to talk about sex work without ever listening to sex workers. In movies and music, the people doing the work are usually props, punchlines, or background aesthetic. Porcelain exists to do the opposite: to sit with the people at the center of the life and let their stories carry the weight.

Instead of glamorizing the game or turning sex work into fantasy, Porcelain focuses on consequences, survival, coping, and the small, human moments that usually get edited out. The goal wasn’t to sanitize anything or to moralize it, but to tell the truth in a way that’s sonically beautiful and emotionally honest.

What Porcelain sounds like

Musically, Porcelain is reality rap, narrative hip hop, and cinematic production stitched together. Some tracks are raw storytelling rap; others feel like late‑night confessions over atmospheric beats. The production leans into mood: dark, spacey, sometimes cold, sometimes warm enough to hurt.

You’ll hear heavy drums, eerie textures, and melodic lines that sit between pain and numbness. Vocals come from different artists and perspectives, but the world they live in is the same: the track, the blade, the motel, the backseat, the afterglow.

Stories from the life

Each title on Porcelain marks a specific moment or emotion in the life:

  • Blade Runners – the people who move fast on the concrete, running the game and trying not to get caught by anything, including their own conscience.

  • Too Close To None – being the only girl on the team, carrying the pressure of everyone’s expectations, and wanting to disappear from all of it.

  • Hollywood Heels – self-recognition, self-acceptance, and self-love.

  • The Knocking – a true story at the door: pressure, power, and someone coming to take what’s yours.

Some songs are about money, some about control, some about love and attachment in the worst possible environments. All of them are grounded in real experiences and real consequences.

What Porcelain is not

Porcelain is not a celebration of exploitation.
It’s not a “pimp fantasy” album dressed up as reality.

It’s not here to judge sex workers or to glorify the people who profit off them. It exists in the tension between those extremes: listening instead of preaching, documenting instead of decorating.

Who Porcelain is for

Porcelain is for listeners who:

  • Want storytelling rap and reality-based music.

  • Are curious about sex work beyond the usual clichés.

  • Appreciate cinematic production and dark, narrative albums you sit with front to back.

If you’re looking for background noise, this probably isn’t it. If you want to sit with the life for a while and let the stories talk to you, Porcelain was made for that.
